Call Pickup Group Audio Alert

I'm running CUCM 8.6.2.20000-2 and which I have a call pickup group of approx 18 phones.


Out of those 18 phones 6 of them are assistants and have some BLF buttons.


We want the assistants only to have an audiable alert when any other use in the group has a call (even if they are not a BLF button)


I have set the Call Pickup Group Audio Alert on the user line side but I do not get the alert.


If I set the call pickup group to alert, it is annoying to exec users, I have also tried to do reverse setting the alert to the group on and the exec users to disabled on the line side.


Have I mis understood what this function means? or is it broken?
