Hi,

Use only Key Index 1.

Try creating an new SSID or may be make this SSID itself for testing with open authetication (Security None) and verify if the DHCP works.

Ok, so:

1.) is the scope exhausted on the 2960?

2.) what has changed recently?

3.) is dhcp proxy enabled or disabled?

1.) is the scope exhausted on the 2960?

-No Its working fine, the pc's which are connected to the switch they are able to get DHCP IP.

2.) what has changed recently?

-Nothing has changed.

3.) is dhcp proxy enabled or disabled?

-i checked it in the WLAN its enabled in it (If u are asking to check in WLAN)

Please still dind got any thing to get it working...

Proxy would either be Controller > Advanced or show dhcp proxy.

So you have only the one WLAN/interface?

You try to delete the DHCP scope and add it back? The switch might be the issue. I have seen it before.

ok i will try by doing that... !

Tried deleting the DHCP scope on the switch and checked out still the issue is same..

Hi Amanulla,

Hope your WLC is configured as Trunk Interface, Please ensure that DHCP VLAN is allowed on the Trunk Links to the WLC and on all the path between WLC and DHCP switch. Also hope you dont have any interface which is configured on WLC with 0.0.0.0 address.

yes it is a Trunking between the WLAN interface and to the Switch were it is connected...

I had removed the DHCP cope from the switch and configured on the router...

And rebooted the WLAN controller and NOW ! i am not getting the wifi SSID.

Please help on this !!!

Sorry,

You mean you are not able to view SSID on the wireless device? Is the SSID broadcasted? Can you get the configuration from WLC please?

Regards

Najaf

sorry, checked the broadcast SSID was uncheck and found the SSID.

But still not able to get the DHCP Ip address for the wifi clients

How to set the DHCP Server Ip address in the WLAN controller.

If i check that show dhcp proxy status i can see that the dhcp server is having the Ip address of the switch which was configured previously. but now the DHCP scope is on router and how can i change it to that ?

Hi,

This may help.

Regards

Najaf

Changed to the correct DHCP IP address and rebooted the Controller also..

But still clients are not getting the DHCP IP address.. froan  the router..

Sholud the DHCP proxy should be enabled or disabled on the WLAN controller, if i am using external DHCP Server..

or

Can i enable DHCP pool in the WLAN only for the Clients who connect to the wifi..  from the IP address which are not in the router DHCP pool (Excluded Ip address).. ?
