Hi Guys,

We plan on buying a Cisco 2700 wireless location appliance but I need to know if it will be compatible with our 2500 WLC.

I've tried to look but cant find any document for this. Also can you deploy the location appliance without a WCS?

Thanks,

Ross.

Here is the matrix. You will need to look
at the code you are running in the WLC.

The 2700 is also EOS.

So it's by software version on the WLC and not the hardware?

Yes... So the last supported WLC code for the 2700 is 6.0.202.0 and the 2504 required 7.x or newer. So that will not work.

So the 2710 is the replacement for the 2700. So if you have a controller on 7.0 that means you can use the location appliance. Are there anyother work arounds to get location services working?

You need the MSE not the 2710.
