We have a SRW2048 switch in out company network and suddenly it restarted it self. after logging in and check the flash logs there is the following error.

%SOCK-F-MEM: SOCKP_tcp_open_call: Connection pool is out of memory  ***** FATAL ERROR *****  Reporting Task: SOCK. Software Version: 1. 2.  2d (date  23-Feb-2009 time  13:58:42) ***** END OF FATAL ERROR *****

Firmware version is 1.2.2d

does anyone know what can cause this failure?

only 29 out of 48 ports are used.

Thank you

Stelios

Hi Stelios, thanks for using our forum, my name is Johnnatan and I am part of the Small business Support community. Did you perform a factory reset to your device? I recommend you try with this solution if this doesn´t resolve your issue, can you please reach out to our Small Business Support Center and open a Service Request to address this issue? One of our Engineers may be able to work with you and diagnose the root cause. You can find the appropriate contact information for SBSC in the below link. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/support/tsd_cisco_small_business_support_center_contacts.html

I hope you find this answer useful,
