Business Edition 3000 AutoAttendant with VM Box

Unanswered Question

Hello,

I  am attempting to configure an auto attendant in BE3000 version 8.6.4. The goal is for the caller be able to leave a message. Whether its's a caller input option so that pressing 1 leaves a  message or it goes to VM after the AA greeting I dont care.   I tried a user for option 1 that transfers to a new user extension that is not on a phone.  but when I do that there is no way to make it go direct to VM it just loops the AA greeting.

Please Help

Thanks

You can configure a user, assign that user an unassigned extension. Then you can set Call Forward All to Voicemail.

Assign this user as one of the keys in AA menu.

Thanks

Another option to do it, and probably better one is, when the AA greeting is being played, the caller can dial *extension number. The call will route directly to VM.
