You nave a lightweight image on the AP.  This requires a WLC in order for you to configure that.  If you want a stand alone AP, you need to upload an autonomous image to the AP.  Here is a list of ways to TFTP the image to the AP.  You will need to have a support contract in order to download software.

Using a TFTP Server to Return to a Previous Release

You can change it yourself (I doubt if your reseller knows how to do it).  Contact the reseller and tell them (not ask) to give you the autonomous IOS for the AP.

It's easier to get it replaced but if you want to try, here is the command you need to use to pull the image from a good AP.

archive tar
To create a TAR file, to list files in a TAR file, or to extract the files from a TAR file, use the archive tar command in privileged EXEC mode.
archive tar {/create destination-url flash:/file-url | /table source-url | /xtract source-url flash:/file-url [dir/file...]}

Contact the vendor who sold the AP to you and tell them to furnish you the IOS.

You might be able to tar an image from one AP and upload it to another. Here is a link.
