We are looking to implement Windows Hyper V 2012 in our data center, and apparently, this comes with some potential virtual switching options.
Does the Hyper-V Extensible Switch allow VMs within the hypervisor to connect to a virutal switch using "virtual network adapters"? In other words, can I create 20 VMs in the hypervisor, give them virtual adapters and IP addresses, create vlans on the virtual switch, and then trunk physical adapters on the system to an upstream Cisco switch? Is this possible?
I've been having a hard time finding information on exactly how this Hyper-V Extensible Switch works.
Any advice would be great
