Hi all,
can someone tell me please how to
clear alerts in Cisco Unified Computing System Manager?
some off blades has been powered off as part of troubleshooting and this generated faults in CUCS.
faults has been asknowledged but how to clear them?
alerts still show in the Fault Summary screen and will until we clear them...

The only way to get rid of faults is to clear the failure siutation. Acknowledging the fault only stops it from sending to SNMP/CallHome. It does not remove the fault.
Find the source of the fault, fix it, and the Alerts will clear.

thanks Robert for your response and appologies for posting two threads, first time here, didnt see that every thread must be acknowledged by admin...
so there is no other way to turning off those alerts, if blades are unpluged for time of troubleshooting ?

In UCSM 2.1 release, we added the option to place the Service Profile in Maintenance mode, that will give you the option to suppress expected faults i.e VIFs down.

Please see the below attached fault reference guide for all the related fault and there recommended action to clear alerts & primitive support with fault description. As for your Scenario I presume its seems to me power related fault which occurred in CUCS during troubleshooting processes.
