I'm not used to the Small Buisness switches from Cisco but i currently setting up a SG-500 switch and added mrtg for this switch, and there are so many interfaces, how come?

http://mrtg.obscured.se/test/

Is there a way to disable all the wierd interfaces? What dose (gigabitethernet4/1/27) even mean? 4/1/27 ?

Regards

Erik

Hi Erik, the primary feature set of this switch is the stack feature and the 5/10 gig links. If that is not a desirable feature I'd implore you to look in to the SX300 features as it does not include either.

The port layout is pretty standardized, consider a Cisco Catalyst 3750 which would be something like GigabitEthernet3/0/2.

If you wish to disable the stack feature, you may. Admin -> Stack Management  then choose Standalone.
