Call transfer timeout - SIP mode

We have a client which would like to transfer calls using the directory feature but experiences a timeout when no digit is sent within 10 seconds. This has been discussed twice already (here and here) but none of the answers appear to deal with a SIP implementation.

In details:

We have a client using Cisco SPA 504G phones where they want to place a caller on hold, press "Transfer" and then want to browse the Directory. Whilst everything works if one finds and selects the entry within 10 seconds the transfer is cancelled if it exceeds this marker.

We have tried increasing the 'Interdigit_Long_Timer' setting but this only takes effect if one first dials a digit, deletes it and then proceeds to the directory.

Browsing through similar discussions reveals a 'Off-Hook to First Digit Time' which appears to be 10 seconds but I do not see a way of changing this value.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Found the solution to this here.

Adapt Dial_Plan to include 'P30' which sets the off-hook dial timer.

Before:

S:1, ([#*][*x]x.|19xx|10[1-2]xx|0[1-9]xxxxxxxx|S3 [#*x][*x][*x][*x][*x][*x][*x][*x][*x][*x][*x].)

After:

S:1, (P30|[#*][*x]x.|19xx|10[1-2]xx|0[1-9]xxxxxxxx|S3 [#*x][*x][*x][*x][*x][*x][*x][*x][*x][*x][*x].)

Also need to adjust the 'Dial_Tone' to avoid it changing the sound of the dial tone after 30 seconds:

Before:

350@-19,440@-19;10(*/0/1+2)

After:

350@-19,440@-19;30(*/0/1+2)
