6509 - Backplane Throughput Stats?

Hello All,

We have a pair of 6509s (HSRP), and would like to check status of the backplane utilization.

The "show catalyst6000 traffic-meter" command doesn't work - I get the "This Supervisor hardware revision has no support for traffic meter feature." message.  Here is our list of modules:

As I understand it, we don't have the proper hardware to use the "show catalyst6000 traffic-meter" command to check the backplane utilization -- so what are our alternatives?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

What IOS version are you running? Many of the more advanced show commands require a relatively recent IOS.

According to the command reference, the one I suggested should be supported on 12.2(33)SXI or later.

Try "show platform hardware capacity fabric"

Unfortunately, that doesn't work for me:

Yes, you are going to have to run later code than the 8 year old version you have to get all the shiny commands.
