Hi Guys,

Our company is looking for a switch that's reasonably priced so that we can monitor the bandwidth for different companies on an interface by interface basis. Cost is a little bit of an issue, so I was thinking of something like a 3560G

Basically our requirements are minimum 24 ports, Gigabit speeds, Layer 3 switch (for intervlan routing) I would like to be able to netflow it, but we can perform this on our ASA.

I was wondering collectively what you guys would recommend for a switch that we could monitor bandwidth ie SNMP, netflow etc. ie we would be assigning certain switch ports to certain VLAN's and we want to be able to monitor each companies bandwidth on a vlan to vlan basis

IF you plan to do VRF, then I'd recommend you look into the Metro Ethernet switches, like the ME3800X.

Thankyou for your reply Leo,

I havent had much experience with VRF, just from looking into it quickly it seems to go hand in hand with MPLS, which many of our clients hosted in the data center do not have/ unwilling to make the switch
