IOS upgrade from 12.4(15)T15 to 15.2(4)M4 for 7206 vxr with NPE-G2

Hi,

1. I would like to check that our router , 7200 series , is now running Version 12.4(15)T15, SP Services. If we upgrade to 15.2(4)M4,SP Services, will there be any license required on that new IOS or it will works with the default?

We are running “tracking using IP SLA, OSPF, Redistribution static routes using prefix list, QOS with MQC ” on the router.

2. If we upgrade to 15.2(4)M4,SP Services, any issue with bootstrap version and do we need to upgrade system bootstrap ?

Hi,

I don't think you need license for the 7200 series since they are EOS as of September 2012...

You just have to read the release notes to make sure all the features you need are supported in ios 15.

The final Cisco IOS Software Release supported on Cisco 7200 Series Routers is 15.2(4)M and 15.2(4)S.
