Downgrade of 2602 model access point from lightweight to autonomous mode

Hello,

We recently purchased 5 Wireless LAN Controllers (2504) and 29 access points with model number 2602. We intend to downgrade 7 of these access points to autonomous mode.

The downgrade was initiated but was not successful.

The command syntax I used on the WLC was:

config ap tftp-downgrade tftp-server-ip-address filename access-point-name

The WLC reports the following error message:

1. Unable to open tar file

2. Network connection timeout

I need to know if these 2602 Aps are not downgrade-able or possible solutions to resolving this challenge.

This is very urgent as the customer intends to go live on this wireless network today.

Kindly assist
