Sorry, it is memory not CPU.

Thanks

Wilson,

Those IOS version you are running are ancient.  Did you ever considering upgrading to something more recent?

You could try either 15.0(2)SE4 for your 2960 and 12.2(55)SE8 for your 3560.

Leo,

1. I want to know 75% and 25% memory too high or normal ? because I have use show processes memory to check those switchs still have free memory.

2. I'm new staff of this company, so still learning on the existing network.

3. If upgrade those version, will fix the performance issue ?

Thanks

That's not normal level.

What are the uptimes of your switches?

Around 9 months.

Hi Leo,

Just confirmed the 3560G uptime is 1 month and the 2960 uptime is 10 month.

Is the 2960 uptime to long to caused the loading ? because this 2960 switch is in front of firewall. In office hour, I use ping to internet host, it has 500-600ms, even over 1,000ms.

Also this 2960 switch connecting other sites with IPLC etc, we have some heavy traffic (200mb/15mins) send to other side via IPLC, so it is holding heavy traffic with IPLC etc and internet.

Do you think I reset this switch will decrease the loading ?

Thanks

Uptime has got nothing to do with high CPU.

The behaviour is most likely due to an on-going IOS bug with the version you are running.  Rebooting it will not fix anything.  The CPU will still spike as you give the switch more time.

Hi Leo,

Do you mean upgrade both switchs IOS ?

Do you mean upgrade both switchs IOS ?

Yes.  You have so many options.  Upgrade one, observe for 2 weeks.  If no problem, then you decide how to proceed.

OK, I just checked there allow me to download lanbase and lanbase with web for 2960 and IP base and Service base for 3560G, Which IOS of 150-2.SE5 good for my existing swtich ?

Thanks
