Cisco Utilization calculation question

Hello Community,


Can someone please look at the following calculation used by a company called ManageEngine to calculate the utilization on a link and let me know how how I would use the calculation to calculate the utilization from the output taken from the interface on our router



Speed = (Volume in bits / time in seconds). Which is (Volume * 8 / 60) Reported in bits per second (bps).

Utilization = (current speed/ link speed) * 100. Current speed is calculated as above.



The following is the output from our interface. I would like someone to show me how to use the above calculation to get the the utilization:

Cisco would calculate the utilization as


txload => 34/255 = 13%

rxload => 92/255 = 36%


I don't know how ManageEngines' formula would give me the same result.


Your help will be greatly appreciated.
