we are having 2 call managers.
1 CCM 4.1
2 CUCM 8.6
IP phones are registered on both the call managers. Is it possible to communicate in between ip phones registered on two different call managers ?
Thanks And Regards
I do not think so it is possible, u need to upgrade the cluster since the IP phone firmware are different for CUCM version.
What is not working? Do you get a busy tone? Do you get your call cannot be completed as dialled? You need to check your CSS on the ICT..Ensure that it has access to the partitions of your phones etc...
Please give us a detailed explanation of the issue you are having with this

No, all you need is an ICT on each cluster pointing to the other one and configure the call routing, thats it.

Yes, that can be done. You can register the CallManagers with each other using Inter cluster Trunks. These ICTs would work similiar to a H323 Gateway. You can add them to each other and take it from there. Here is some more info on the same:
Hope this helps,
