Can't power up the MPA

Hello all, install a interface card in slot 1 on 0/3/CPU0, however with below error message, try reload the subslot 0/3/1, still can't power up. Do I need reboot the 0/3/CPU0 Mod 80 in order to bring up this module,  or I missed something ?

MPA in bay 1 cannot be brought up as NP TM mode is incompatible with the card type.

Please perform aline card reload in order to bring this MPA module up[#0x1c9774a#]

Hi,

What code are you running? 'show install active summary'

Are your FPDs up to date? 'admin show hw-mod fpd loc all'

Can you try reloading the LC (MOD80) with the MPAs already inserted?

Dear Sam,

Not yet reload the NOD80 as live traffic on MPA 0, just want to confirm if need to reload the MOD80 in order to bring the MPA 1 power up before schedule a maintenance window for that.

Hi,

Yes this was an issue which got corrected between 4.2.0 and 4.2.1 so a reload as I mentioned will need to be done. If you want to upgrade so that this and other issues are fixed I would recommend 4.3.4 when it comes out in about a week, the other good option is 4.2.3 (with SMU pack 3).
