Hi All,
We have a CUCM to which we have 2 locations already connected. All the phones are registered to this UCM. Now we have a new location addedd to the UCM. The phones are registered and is working fine (6945, 8945). But for the license we have got a paper license with a right to use. Now do we need to separately add licenses for the new phone or the paper license is enough. As of now the phones have utilized the licenses on the UCM.

Devraj

These are CME licenses which do not work with CUCM, you need to purchase CUCM licenses either CUWL or UCL.

What version is your CUCM system?
Are you saying you did not receive a PAK which you can register? Do you know what part number you purchased? Perhaps it was for CME solution?

The CUCM version is 8.6.2. We got a paper license which says Right to use notification.
Should we receive a different paper/license for PAK. The part number that we purchased are
SW-CCME-UL-6945= and SW-CCME-UL-8945.
Yes it is for CME. There are already 2 remote locations connected to this CUCM. We have added one more location with 6945 (6no)
and 8945 (1 no.). So we only got paper license when we purchased phones and nothing else.

Hi Devraj,
you would get only Paper licenses for CME which are RTU.

So no need to upload any license file in the UCM separately? How do we know whether the phone is licensed on the UCM, and whether it not utilizing any license from the UCM.
