Question regarding CISCO 6921 voicemail

Hi All

In  cisco 6921 a message in the display suddenly displayed saying New  Voicemail, but I havent configured any voice mail in the call manager?

Also red light in the reciever steadily glows. I tried to read that voice mail, bt still that red light steadly glows

Hi Pragash,

Did you check what is configured under "Voice Mail Profile" setting on the directory number for 6921?

Also, when you try to listen to the message what exactly happens, are you able to listen to it or not?

As per the following


"When you have one or more new messages, the  message-waiting indicator (MWI) on your handset is lit. The MWI works  only if the MWI is configured on your phone."

I can listen to the recording of voice mail (default voice mail IVR) and also Voice Mail Profile - None.

There is no recording available, but I can hear the recording "Cisco unity......" (cannot hear properly, its breaking)

When I try listening to the message just keeping me in hold and could listen to the message. (We havent configured voice mail)

Hi Hermanus

I guess your 2nd link will help me to sought out this problem, because I remember that user said that he pressed some thing after that the voice mail started to glow. I am at home now a'll go to office tommarrow and try put that thanks.
