Web authentication certificates?

Answered Question

I am currently working with a customer that needs a certificate for web authentication on a Wireless Lan Controller, the customer made tha following question:

Our current CA (Symantec) offers 4 levels of certificates. Do we need the high-end "Secure Site
Pro with EV" or does the lower end "Secure Site" meet the need?

I have generated several CSR files and installed certificates, but never received this kinf of question, I am
not related with Symantec either, have any information about it?

Thank you for any help.

I agree with Scott.

up to level 3 certificate that should be fine for web-auth.

keep in mind you have to reload the WLC after installing the certificate. Otherwise the certificate will not take effect.

The lower end should be fine. Remember that the cert is like any other web server cert. The WLC only supports up to level 3 certificates also.
