Netflow on 6500 gigabit interfaces

Hi,

I've configured Flexible netflow on my Cisco 6509, Sup2T 10GE w/ CTS, IOS 15.0(1)SY2, and it works fine. However, I can apply 'ip flow monitor FLOW-MONITOR input/output' commands just to L3 VLAN interfaces. These commands are not available for physical interfaces (Gig, TenGig) nor port-channels. Looking at different config guides, examples are shown where these commands are issued on physical interfaces. How come my 6509 doesn't have them? Am I missing something?

I guess "ip flow" is the key to this mystery. Are your gig-ports in switched or routed (no switchport) mode?

They are switched. 'ip flow...' command doesn't exist on them.

"ip flow x " commands are only applicalbe for L3 interfaces. So it won't applicable to any L2 switchport like in your case
