Solved: Add Prefix to local extension when making VOIP calls

Hi Guys,

i would need help on the transilation rules for eg. the ip phone extension of mine which is 86128 should be seen to other end as 12386128 and that too i need only for one site office , i had tried transilation-rule which says rule 1 /^86.../ /123/ and added to dial-peer as transilation-profile outgoing "name" . could you please help on this one , cant figure out how to change the local extension .

Another way to translate could be

voice translation-rule 100

rule 1 /^5...$/ /123\0/

Hi Dragan/Carlo,

I had tried both of ur transilation rules but its the same , my extension no: is not getting changed with the added prefix 123 to the other side call ... is there any other rule u guys can think of ....

Hi Manish,

This is the config , you can see the translation rule 3 is the one for this purpose and is named as AUH-Test , and the profile have been added to dial-peer to where the prefix of the local extension should be changed and shown to the remote end with the added prefix .
