asa cascading context port-channel

I'm currently setting up a pair of asa 5585 devices.

The goal is to have a context for outgoign traffic, and other contexts for various needs.

I created a port-channel as shared interface so I can route traffic between my contexts.

I'd like to avoid depending on a single interface on the ASA device, so the port-channel was the first idea that came to mind.

config is below :

asa-a# show running-config interface gigabitEthernet 0/5
interface GigabitEthernet0/5
 channel-group 46 mode active

asa-a# show running-config interface gigabitEthernet 1/5
interface GigabitEthernet1/5

 channel-group 46 mode active

asa-a# sh run interface port-channel 46
interface Port-channel46

asa-a# sh interface port-channel 46 detail
Interface Port-channel46 "", is down, line protocol is down
Hardware is EtherChannel/LACP, BW 1000 Mbps, DLY 10 usec
        Auto-Duplex(Full-duplex), Auto-Speed(1000 Mbps)
Input flow control is unsupported, output flow control is off
        Description: interco contextes
Available for allocation to a context
MAC address c08c.60c4.9233, MTU not set
        IP address unassigned
  Members in this channel:
      Inactive: Gi0/5 Gi1/5

How can I cable my interfaces part of the port channel so it comes up ? (I tried to cable the two ports with one direct link, but the port channel doesn't come up).

Any help will be much appreciated, as I couldn't find such a scenario described.

Is the loopback interface somewhere in the roadmap ? this will help a lot in such a scenario.

Best regards.
