Normally not. I did this many times.

Just after new upgarde WLC need to be reboot, that make AP reassociate with new software version with many new features.

Sometime you can see the config difference.  This is because there are configs from the 7.6 that the 7.4 wouldn't understand.

Under normal circumstances, this should be fine.  But there are some cases that this can cause issues. 

 

so keep your config as backup.
