i have a single c220 server

Bios version: C220M3.1.5.1c.0 (Build Date: 01/31/2013)

FW version 1.5(1b)

dual Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 0 @ 2.00GHz with 64 GB each

i have 4 existing HD, they are working

i have added two new SSD drives

cimc sees them

the ONLY function i can do is add them as global spares

i want to format them as a raid 1 pair and use them to store and run my vmware clients

nothing else from the GUI shows how to get the new drives format into raid

no help or details from any cisco documet either(;

Hello Walter,

Could you please attach an screenshot of the Virtual Drive tab too?

Also, the last disk needs replacement cause it logged a Predictive Failure which means that the disk is running out spare sectors to replace the damaged ones.

Walter,

Sorry for the delay.  Try the following :

Go to Storage Tab> Select the RAID controller in the submenu> Select "Controller Info" > Select "Create Virtual Drive from Unused Physical Drives"  (See "controller Info.png").   Give the process some time to complete.

Let me know if that works.
