OSPF route filtering

Could you please provide insight on how to restrict specific routes learned via OSPF from getting updated in the main routing table.

It kinda depends on what type of routes you are trying to filter. What are you trying to accomplish?

Hi,

if you don't want LSAs to make it in the RIB then you can use distribute-list in command but don't forget it will only be local on the router where this command is applied because LSAs will still be flooded to other routers in the area.

Could you be more precise about what you are trying to achieve with a topology and explanation.

Hi,

Alain is right but remember that LSA-3 can be filtered on ABR. This way routes are not put in routing table and also not advertised in one area.
