Wifi Traffic flow from PC to DHCP server

 Hi Everyone,

Below is Wireless setup.

WAP-------------------Switch -----------------WLC

As per above WAP has single connection to switch and WLC has 2 connections to switch.

WLC has default gateway which is ASA.

Switch also has default gateway which is also same ASA.

ASA is configured as DHCP server.

So when now wi fi user connects to SSID configured in WLC the traffic will flow

from PC  to WAP -----Switch------------WLC-----from WLC  it goes to default gateway which is ASA to get the IP?

Regards

MAhesh

Hi,

Data traffic from wireless client will be encapsulated into CAPWAP tunnel and then will be forwarded to WLC.Then from your WLC to Default Gateway.

Take a look here:

Hope it helps,

Regards.
