Hi,
we have two ASA 5512 configured in active standby mode.
Primary ASA was having temporary fail-over license installed now that license is expired we have received and installed permanent license.
To activate the license we need to reboot the primary ASA but as the temporary license is expired we can not execute any fail-over commands.
If we reboot the primary ASA will secondary ASA become active without any traffic drop or we need to make secondary ASA active before reboot ?
Also we are unable to execute no fail-over active command on Primary ASA ?
What can be the solution to avoid any traffic drop ?
Thanks And Regards

Is the failover pair still operational ("show failover" on the secondary unit)? If so, log into the Secondary-Standby unit and execute the command "failover active".
Depending on whether or not you have a state link setup, you may have active connections lost but most applications will re-establish TCP connections without impact to the end users.
