Hi all.

Is there a possibility to connect directly to a specific vty via Telnet or ssh?

The fact is: I have a misconfigured switch with no athentication on line vty 0 4, but with the correct configuration on vty 5-15.

So I would like to know if there is a possibility to specify the linie vty I'll connect.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

Markus

I don't know if it is possible but why don't you try to open 5 telnet so that the firs 4 vty are busy and the fifth will use one of the other ?

I agree with e's approach. I don't believe you can initiate a connection to a specified vty line - IOS will always use the next available open line..

You'll need to launch SIX simultaneous connections. The first five will hit vty 0-4 (five lines) and the sixth should be to vty 5.

You could also use console. :)
