G'day Guys,

Scenario is that VSS is established between two 6500 with single SUP in each chassis but each chassis located in different DC and VSL is established via 10Gig link. My question is that for the following dual active detection mechanism, can we use indirect link via switch over a VLAN:

IP BFD

Fast Hello

Cheers,

Ahmed

Hi,

Never done it using a LAN switch, and I don't think once you enable fast hello on the ports you can issue any other command like configuring them as access ports and adding them to a  vlan.  If it does not work, you can always use a fiber port with 2 single mode optics and connect them back to back.
