hi

we have a voice gateway c3945 (ios 15.0(1)M4) used for making outside calls with cisco callmanager.

it is working fine but yesterday when i tried to activate ssh on it, it stops making outgoing/incoming calls!!!!!!!!!!

when i removed the ssh commands it worked fine !!!!

any logical explanation ?

What protocol are you using for the gateway? MGCP? H.323? SIP?

If MGCP, changing or adding a domain name in order to enable SSH would have broke registration with CUCM.

Very Interesting !!

I don't have a direct answer for this but just to check the easy things:

- Did you configured under voice service voip the "ip address trusted list" with the ip addresses of the servers in the cluster or the "no ip address trusted list" ?

- Any crash, traceback log ?

- and the CPU of the router sh proces cpu hist ?

Hello!

Can you, please, post, what exatly you did when configuring ssh?

And post show run, if possible.

Regards,

Kirill

yes it is MGCP.

If the domain names for the MGCP gateway and the gateway configuration on Cisco CallManager do not match, perform one of these actions:

  • Change the domain name on either the MGCP gateway or Cisco CallManager so that they both have the same domain name. If either hostname or domain name is changed on the MGCP gateway, issue these two global commands in sequence on the MGCP gateway in order to implement the new hostname or domain name:

    no mgcp
    mgcp
  • Enter this configuration command to remove the domain name on the Cisco IOS MGCP gateway:

    no ip domain name cisco.com

You can run "show ccm-manager" to see what the full name is you should have listed on the gateway in CallManager.  Make sure to run "no mgcp" then "mgcp" after any of these changes.
