ME3600-X nile_dual_media_phy_set_one_feature() Failed to read MII_CONTROL for SFP PHY

Hi people,

we see this issue on one of our ME3600-X. I found this bug:

Symptom:

My customers are seeing a "nile_dual_media_phy_set_one_feature() Failed to read MII_CONTROL for SFP PHY" error messages and ends up a old sfp's information is remained in "show inventry" log inspite of they has replaced it to other sfp in the same port.

Conditions:

Workaround:

reload

Fix is in 15.2(4)S1 but we had S2 running and error log was still there, and CPU usage is at over 80%.

Upgrade to 154-2.S did not help either.

We tried with one more reload but still the same. We could not find any logs that some SFP-s have been replaced before this issue.

Did you resolved this issue, I´m assuming is an SFP issue, I´m having the same problem.

Hi,

yes it was a SFP issue on port 1. Just remove it and everything should be ok.

Just had same issue. Faulty SFP. Trashed it and problem gone.
