asr9000 - flowspec

Hi

We are waiting for 5.3.0 and FlowSpec indeed.

In the meantime Could you share any limitation and restriction with FLOWSPEC class based traffic drop ?

Did you do any interoperability tests with Juniper or/and ALU ?

KK

Hi,

BGP flowspec is coming in 5.2.0 which should be available later today for download along with the documentation.

Xander wrote a document on it here as well:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/12226726/asr9000xr-understanding-bgp-flowspec-bgp-fs

I am not sure about interoperability testing, but hopefully this can help answer that question.

In 5.2.0 we use RFC 5575 as the base and have the following supported as well:

•IPv6 extensions: draft-ietf-idr-flow-spec-v6-03
•Redirect IP extension: draft-simpson-idr-flowspec-redirect-02
•IBGP extension: draft-ietf-idr-bgp-flowspec-oid-01
•Persistence Support:  draft-uttaro-idr-bgp-persistence-02
•HA/NSR Support.

On ASR9K we will initially support the Typhoon based LCs.

Thanks,
Sam

Hi

Thank you for information about supporting feature.

I am waiting but I don't see 5.2.0 on CCO.

Any update about release date ?

Konrad

Hi Konrad,

It looks like the final build is almost ready, saw some final steps done today.

I'll update when I see it posted on CCO.

Thanks,

Sam

Hi Konrad,

5.2.0 was just posted.

Cheers,

Sam
