Solved: IP phone 7821 FAC is displayed on screen (not masking with *)

Hi All,

On our 7821 phones, When we enter the FAC after dialing a number it shows FAC on the screen without the * to mask it. In every other model of phones we have the normal behaviour is to mask the FAC with * after dialing the phone number.

We are using -

CUCM version: 8.5.1.12900-7

Device Pack version: 8.5.1.17126-1

7821 Firmware version: 10-1-1SR2-1

I would be thankful if someone can help me on this issue.

Yes.

It is just a minor upgrade.

Before u proceed for upgrade, check compatibility marix

This could be a bug.

FAC Codes are not being masked for SIP 8961/9971 phones.

So there is no option other than an upgrade to CUCM version 8.6.x. Isn't it??
