Safe to Share Device Serial Numbers to Vendors?

I'm working with a new vendor who I've never worked with before to have quote some different items for me.

Is is safe to share my device serial numbers with the vendor (specifically my 2900 series routers)?

Are there any security issues I should worry about by doing this?

did they ask for your device's serial numbers?

if you're not ordering any smartnet from your new vendor, then it's not necessary to share serial numbers to them.
