Cisco 9971 - call dial

Hi,

Whenever we need to make call, we need to press "new call" and only then dialled number gets connected.

When the IP phone goes off-hook or dial from touch screen (without pressing "new call") and dial(key in) the number, the call is not initiating as like other phones(7942 & 7962)

Everytime twe need to press "new dial" and only then we can able to dial the number. 

What changes to do inorder to place the call by dialing from touch screen without touch and dial from "new call"

Kindly share the firmware of your Cisco 9971. Kindly share more details about your problem during offhook , your digits dropped or what did you see on screen?. Also take a look for the eblow:-

Find the firmware of the cisco 9971 phone. sip9971.9-3-2-10

Problem Description: After dialing the digits and press softkey "call" it doesnt work.

During off hook same thing happens. Only if we press softkey "New Call" and then dial the digits it works.
