I had a question regarding a datacenter move we have coming up at our company. Currently we have a 6500 with an FWSM with about 10-15 virtual contexts. There are about 15-20 VLANS which are used over ESX hosts through virtual machines.
We will be reconstructing the datacenter using two new 6500s with VSS, and my question is, is there a way I can use the exact same inside IP's and VLAN schema for this cloned infrstructure, but still communicate back to the old 6500 or do I need to use a new IP block? Basically, I would like to be able to turnk a few ports from the current to the new environment, so I can do data transfers as needed. The new 6500s will have a different ISP as well, so the only thing im thinking about is if I can keep the same internal VLANs and scopes or do I need to change. Can you please advise on the best route to take for this? If you need more info please feel free to ask, and thanks in advance to all who contribute.
