Lync for Mac - VCS Interop

Hi,

We're testing a Lync - VCS interop setup and I noticed in the VCS - Lync deployment guide that Lync for Mac requires an Advanced Media Gateway for Video calls. Is the AM GW still required? We can get Audio & Video from Lync 2013 on Windows via the VCS, but only Audio from Lync for Mac, so i suspect it is.

We're running Lync 2013 back-end with VCS Control (Lync Gateway) on X8.2.1.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Gareth

Hi

The MAC Lync client is only supporting RTVideo and not H.264UC SVC as the Windows client.

That's why you must use the AM-GW to convert from RTVideo to H.264 AVC.

Best Regards
