Unity /spare filesystem full

I have received a SparePartitionHighWaterMarkExceeded alarm in RTMT and I trying to figure out how to clear up some space to bring the percentage of space used down.  I removed log files for the system using RTMT and selecting "Delete Collected Log Files from Server" but that only cleared up space on the /common directory.  What is stored on the /spare filesystem and how can I clean it up?

You can open a TAC case to get the partition cleaned up from root. You can try a server restart. I have seen a restart fix this issue once.
