Hi,

We're trying to integrate Directory URI dialing, Expressway (RMS) and other features in our CUCM 9/10 clusters.

Currently all is Synced to MS-AD via LDAP Directory synchronization.

The synchronization allows you to select the mail or msrtcsip-primaryuseraddress attributes to be used for the Directory URI field. But neither of those contain a valid Directory URI for our installation.

Is there an option to get the Directory URI to be synched with, ie. the userPrincipalName attribute?

Our AD Schema doesn't know the msrtcsip-primaryuseraddress attribute and our Mail addresses domains do not match our default Directory URI domain.

For us: The AD domain is the Directory URI domain. The users' Directory URI should be "<username>@<ad-domain>".

Without LDAP Directory URI synchronisation we cannot set the users default directory uri and the user's primary DN is not matched to his directory uri. And this requires us to configure the directory uri for all DN's

No, there is no way to sync CUCM directory URI to anything but:

For the LDAP User field, choose one of the following values:

msRTCSIP-primaryuseraddress
mail
None

From the CUCM side, there is no option to use any other field for the mapping.

You would need to manually configure each user's directory URI to what it should be.

On the jabber clients, you can change the mapping for the DirectoryUri and SipUri value to some other field that matches what you should dial in your deployment, but without the same info in CUCM, it won't make a difference.

If you don't have the msrtcsip-primaryuseraddress value, you could get it into your schema, fill it with the right directory URI, and then point to it. I'm not an LDAP guy, not sure if the overhead of doing this would be the same as adding the URI to each user, or if you could use some sort of script to take the username and add the right domain.
