Reset SIP trunk using job scheduler

We manage multiple CUCM clusters using 8.6/9.1 for clients and occasionally we will find the need to reset the main SIP trunks for PSTN access, which we have to do after hours due to these clusters being in production.  We have heard tell that it is possible to schedule a trunk reset using the job scheduler but we are unable to find how this is done.  Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hi Reed,

I checked the BAT options for CUCM versions 8.6 and 10.5 but do not see any SIP trunk related options available. It seems this is not possible through BAT.

It would be pretty easy to automate this using AXL - have a little program/script on your PC that you can run to reset the trunks using a scheduled task on your computer.

Part of our confusion is that when you save on the trunk configuration, we see the pop up below that mentions the Job Scheduler.

Hi Reed,

Yes the pop up string is quite confusing , there is not way to do reset from job scheduler.

The problem is addressed in 12.0 version which is not yet released. It will be having the pop up with the correct string.

Thanks & Regards,

Ankur

Instead of correcting the popup string, please put the SIP trunk job scheduler function in the 12.0. I am 100 percent sure that this will be the helpful function.

Thanks
