http://jeffsaidso.com/2012/02/ucs-boot-from-san-troubleshooting-with-the-cisco-vic-part-2/ Hi since this is windows, make sure you are using a single path to the storage for initial install. I understand that you are able to see the lun but the problem looks to be related on the storaga/zoning. Verify that the zoning is correct, you can also use the link above that will help you with the troubleshooting.

This has been discussed many times in this forum, and is documented as well, see

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/os-install-guides/windows/b_B-Series_Windows_Install/BSERIES-WINDOWS_chapter_011.html

Inside windows setup (please refer to below screenshoot) i can see "Drive 2 Partition 1" (350GB), but i got this error " Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu"

I can't see LUN at BIOS level.

I can see partition at Windows Setup.

I follow all of the step mentioned in "http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/os-install-guides/windows/b_B-Series_Windows_Install/BSERIES-WINDOWS_chapter_011.html"

Hi,

Kindly do you have a solution for this

I'm facing this issue with B200M4 server booting from san

And trying to set the boot order role in boot options in bios from Strict to Loose as attached, but it is dimmed

I'm using one path during installation

Thanks

Haitham

Once you've loaded the ucs storage drivers, and the single-path drive has been detected, make sure you un-map the ucs driver bundle and re-map the windows .iso .  I was seeing the same error until i did this, and had forgotten what the solution was.

try to create SAN boot policy and associated with SP, then boot server to ISO image using F6

I have followed the step mentioned in "http://jeffsaidso.com/2012/02/ucs-boot-from-san-troubleshooting-with-the-cisco-vic-part-2/" but still don't solve my issue.

Connect to the adapter again via the cli, and provide the output of the following commands: lunlist lunmap:

Create a new lun and try again ! was there something installed on this lun before ?

As a quick test, I would try to install ESXi on this lun; this would at least verify that zoning, and lun mapping / masking is ok.

BTW. I assume you have installed enic / fnic driver according to the interop matrix ?
