When you get a minute;
On the switch do a
show run interface fastethernet 0/2
on the router do a
show run interface ethernet 0/0
and paste the output, please.
Are you using a straight through cable between the switch and router?
Are both sides auto negotiating speed and duplex?
In order for the switch and router to auto-mdix, auto-negotiation needs to be enabled on both sides.

Hello rythem007,
Has the port been configured and turned up(no shut) on the 2600xl router?
What is the status of the port when you do a show ip int brief and or show interface on the 2600xl?
If problem still exists, can you do a show run interface x0/0 on the switch and 2600 router and copy it and post it here on the forum?
