force switch over RPs

i need to make switch over between RPs on our ASR1006 how long disturbance i will face in service and how i can confirm from every thing is ok ?

Hello,

First of all, we need to know what is the redundancy state of the RP's on the router. If its in SSO mode, the impact should be minimal or none as the standby RP is in hot standby mode.

Your forwarding is taken care by ESP, so I dont think there will be much impact. As mentioned, its important to know what is the RP's redundancy state.
