Can Prime (2.2) be configured to ALARM when a client tries to logon?

Had a laptop stolen and management wants to know if we can set an alarm upon the devices appearance in the cloud.

There's a feature in Prime called - Track Clients. Go to Clients and Users list page, launch the Track Clients option, add the wifi mac address of the laptop and choose the required notification settings. The next time the mac address is detected on the network, an alarm/email will be generated and sent to the configured email address.

There isn't a way to do that as Prime only monitors the devices associated to the controllers.  I know there are other 3rd party tools that is loaded onto the laptop to send info back in case the laptop was stolen and connected to the Internet.

thank you..  that will do the trick.

I didn't know your trying to track the stolen device on your network?  Typically if the device is stolen, you only can track that using 3rd party software. Prime will only alert you if they are seen on your wireless/wired network.

Well since our foot-print could be defined as the whole county, the thought is like a phone.. all it has to do is pass by a firestation, library or other county building and it might tickle the fringes.  If it actually walks into the library..  Totally unrealistic

Makes sense.  Hopefully you can recover it.
