I am trying to plan to use 5 Publics, each to a different subnet/vlan. as follows;
RV130W + smart switch with VLAN support
5 static public IP's - call them 1.1.1.1 -> 1.1.1.5
Router will have Wan IP of 1.1.1.1 and private of 192.168.1.1
In router, 1 to 1 nat set up like this
Public 1.1.1.2 to private 192.168.2.99, length 1, Vlan 20, specific service
Public 1.1.1.3 to private 192.168.3.99, length 1, Vlan 30. specific service
Public 1.1.1.4 to private 192.168.4.99, length 1, Vlan 40, all services
Public 1.1.1.5 to private 192.168.5.99, length 1, Vlan 50, all services
Router VLAN config set up to provide DHCP for their subnet. e.g. Vlan 20 will serve up 192.168.2.100 - 192.158.2.150
Firewall rules set to allow some subnets to talk to others and some even more specific to allow certain IP's on those subnets to talk to other machines on other subnets.
If this will work in the router then I should be able to set up the switch with groups of physical ports on different Vlans so that pluggiing a DHCP machine into a Vlan50 port will pull 192.168.5.xxx address
Will the above work?
Can a computer at 192.168.5.100 have a public IP of 1.1.1.5 or will it always use the default 1.1.1.1 ?
If the above is not possible with this router, are there other models is this series that will?
Thanks
Bill
