3850 GRE Tunnel / OTP

Hi all,

i m writing because i have a issue with configuring GRE tunnels on 3850.

We use it to get traffic from a vrf to another building . We upgraded from a 3750X and were suprised that it should no longer be a feature supported !?!

The 3850 also doesnt offer any other L3 based tunnelling mechanism to acomplish the requirement.

Do you have information if Cisco will add GRE tunnel support to the 3850 again ?

Will EIGRP OTP be available as a replacement for the GRE tunnels ?

Which version of the IOS are you using. You may need to license another version.

LACP Rate Fast—Support for the new lacp rate command, to set the rate at which Link Aggregation Control Packets (LACP) packets are sent to LACP-supported interfaces.
GRE tunneled packets switched on hardware—Support for forwarding GRE tunneled packets on the switch hardware.
