PIX 5525 8.0(3)12 Failover Issue

Hi,

i'm new here and i'm peased to join your community.

I've an issue on a pair of PIX 5525 8.0(3)12 in Failover Active/Standby Config.

If i do a show failover state mi output is the following:

                       State                         Last Failure Reason      Date/Time
This host  -   Primary
Standby                  Ready  Ifc Failure             16:43:11 CEDT May 19 2015
                                                      outside: Failed

Other host -   Secondary
                       Active                          None

====Configuration State===
        Sync Done - STANDBY
====Communication State===
        Mac set

Seems to be ok, but i'm not able at to moment to force the standby node to be active.

Anyway, if i do a show run, mi output config about failover is the following:

failover
monitor-interface outside
no monitor-interface WEBSENSE

What about the other config lines of failover interface and link?

Again, at the moment i'm not able to access in any way the active node, so all this info came from the standby node, but i have an old config of the active one and there are no differences.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance to all

Hi,

Did you try the "failover exec mate show run failover" command ?

Also , did you try "failover active" command ?

Check the output of "show run failover" and show failover on the device ?

Thanks and Regards,

Hi,

i can not try a failover active to avoid failures.

Anyway, here is the output of your suggested commands:

FWNAME# failover exec mate show run failover
failover
FWNAME# show run failover
failover

If i do a show run i see these lines i wrote in the first post.

failover
monitor-interface outside
no monitor-interface WEBSENSE

That's all, and this is the reason of my question. I don't see a correct configuration but i'm able to see the output of failover state command.

I also done a "show start" on the failover standby node, and the output is the same doing "show run".

Some one suggested to do this, but i don't see the comment anymore.

Any Idea?

Thanks in advance
