7941G-GE IP phone

Dears,

I am running CUCM 9.1.(2)

I want to enable " Headset Hookswitch Control Enabled" in 7941G-GE IP Phone, i have installed latest device package for CUCM 9.1.2 cmterm-devicepack9.1.2 but still i don't get the option in Device>phone>Phone configuration. as per the IP phone administration guide these option are available in 7941.

Can anybody help me how we can enable Headset Hookswitch Control in 7941 IP phone

Hi Adam,

Sadly the HHC option is not available on the 7941/61 or 7941G-GE phones. It only works with 7942/62, 7945/65 and 7975 IP 7900 series phones. The Cisco documentation is not that great as far as any compatibility matrix goes but the Jabra or Plantronics docs do clearly show the supported models;

Dear Rob,

I have a Platronics model CS520 with EHS Adapter APC-42, the link provided in upper post (page 10-11) doesn't contain 6945 IP phone but currently in my scenario these platronics model are working with 6945 when EHS (Electronic hook switch) control

As the below link is for CUCM 9.0 I am looking similar for 9.1 but i couldn't found it.

Hi Adam,

We used to run a few thousand 7941's and 7961's so I did a ton of research when the HHC config capabilities were introduced and then subsequently over the years and support for those models to use HHC was never added. With some other models like the 6945 this support was added via device pack/firmware upgrades but as you are experiencing, this will not work with the older 2nd generation models like the 7941G-GE.

You may want to open a TAC case to confirm these findings.
